Yellowcliff Trailhead, only yards from Hemlock Bluff, leads into the Big South Fork NRRA

The Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is a horseback rider's dream come true.  There are hundreds of miles of horse trails and several horse-friendly wilderness camp grounds throughout the park, one of the largest and wildest horse-friendly National Parks east of the Mississippi River.  More information can be found at Horseback Riding at the Big South Fork.

We have a protected horse trailer parking spot on our lot, just off the main driveway to our cabin.  And the new Yellow Cliff Trail head is just a few hundred yards up the road. Yellowcliff - Salt Pine Ridge Trail is a wonderful half-day loop and connects to many of the most popular horse trails within the National Park. 

If you don't have your own horse, SouthEast Pack Trips Inc. offers custom group rides and is located less than three miles from Hemlock Bluff Cabin.
