Remote yet easy to get
to
As remote as it feels, and
really is, our cabin is just 2.5 hours by car from Nashville, 1.5 hours from Knoxville, 2.5 hours from Chattanooga,
3 hours from Lexington, 3.5 hours from Louisville and Ashville, and 4.5 hours from Cincinnatti, Atlanta, Birmingham
and Evansville. From Memphis, it's 5.5 hours but closer and much less crowded than the Smokies.
From Nashville,
TN Take I-40 East toward Knoxville. Take
Exit 300 at Monterey. Turn left at the the end of the
exit ramp. Travel north about 1 mile to the red light at Hwy 62 in downtown Monterey.
Turn right onto Hwy 62. Travel about 15 miles to the intersection of Hwy 127. Turn left onto Hwy 127. Travel north
on Hwy 127, just past the Jamestown exits, to Hwy 154.
Look for the Big South Fork and Picket State
Park sign. Exit to the right onto Hwy 154. Travel about 8.2 miles to Hwy 297.
Turn right onto Hwy 297. Travel 3.4 miles to Oby Blevins Road.
Turn left on Oby Blevins Road. Laurel Fork is located
1.2 miles off Hwy 297 at the end of Oby Blevins Road.
It is approximately 14 miles northeast of Jamestown, TN and
18 miles west of Oneida, TN.
From Knoxville,
TN Take I-75 north to Oneida exit Hwy 63, then west (left) on Hwy 63 (20.3 miles to Hwy 27), then north (right)
on Hwy 27 (6.6 miles to Hwy 297 in Oneida), Then west (left) on Hwy 297. Drive through the recreation area, 3 miles past the
BSFNRRA West Entrance (19.3 miles to Oby Blevins Road), turn right on Oby Blevins Road. Laurel Fork is located 1.2 miles off
Hwy 297 at the end of Oby Blevins Road. It is approximately
14 miles northeast of Jamestown, TN and 18 miles west of Oneida, TN.
From Lexington,
KY Take I-75 South to Williamsburg exit Hwy 92, then west (right) on Hwy 92 (19 miles to Hwy 27), then south (left)
on Hwy 27 (13.5 miles to Hwy 297 in Oneida), Then west (right) on Hwy 297. Drive through the recreation area, 3 miles past
the BSFNRRA West Entrance (19.3 miles to Oby Blevins Road), turn right on Oby Blevins Road. Laurel Fork is located 1.2 miles
