If you like to fish, there are smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye,
musky, trout, bream and catfish in the nearby Big South Fork of the Cumberland River, Pickett State Park lake and beautiful
Rock Creek. World-famous fishing destinations Dale Hollow Lake in Tennnessee and Lake Cumberland in Kentucky are
just a short one hour drive. More information about fishing in the Big South Fork can be found at Big South Fork Fishing and Big South Fork Game Fish.
If you like to hunt, there are grouse, turkey, deer, wild boar, bobcat,
raccoon, rabbit and squirrel just beyond the boundary of our lot.
This area is truly wild. The fish and game
are plentiful. And it's likely that you'll never see another hunter or fisherman wherever you go in the park, any time
of the year.
More details and information can be found in the Big South Fork NRRA Hunting Regulations and at Big South Fork Hunting.
